"There are painters who express, sometimes with great skill and reality, only what their eyes see. Their works are consequently inconsequential. Others, whom we will have to consider artists, are those who communicate with their works the purest and most intense personal emotions, and they do so by capturing the evidence of their inner self. In this way, they create works that, although sometimes seemingly innocuous, always end up bringing satisfaction and serenity to the spirit of the person who creates them and the person who receives them.
Elvira Fustero is a true artist, who practices an abstraction that can easily be described as lyrical, in which she does not seek to surprise the viewer with false enchantments. This is because, in my opinion, Fustero paints for herself and only for herself; however, she allows the viewer to approach and, if they wish, penetrate her perfectly structured pictorial masses, which sometimes seem disjointed by the wind from the Monegros, her native land, which remains in her inner memories. They are almost always what generates the artists' creations.
With a narrow range of colors, heavily based on white, black, and the full range of grays, Elvira Fustero confers her pictorial symphony in which she fully expresses the most difficult thing to express: the interior landscapes, which are always the only true landscapes of the soul.
