Act of recognition for the people and institutions that have actively collaborated with the Museu del Càntir between 1975 and 2025, and with the Festa del Càntir.
Friday, August 2nd, at 5:30 PM at the Sala d’Argentona
The aim is to bring together in an emotional and unique event all those people who have been involved in making the Museu del Càntir what it is today and have made it possible to reach the 75 editions of the Festa del Càntir: mayors, Councilors for Culture, members of the Board and the Council, Friends of the Museum, professional collaborators, sponsors, institutions, staff, etc. A special video about the double anniversary will be screened.

The unveiling will coincide with the 75th Festa del Càntir, on August 4th, at 1:00 PM
As every year, an artist is commissioned to create an artistic interpretation of a large-format càntir on Carrer Gran. This, however, is a very special edition, being that of the 75th Festa del Càntir.
The chosen artist is the Argentona native Jordi Prat i Pons (www.jordipratpons.com).

Activities from August 2nd to 4th
A Festa del Càntir with a format similar to the usual one but with improvements in various aspects, which will make it a "special" edition and will include several new features, some of which could be incorporated as permanent fixtures in future editions. Collaborating in these events: Amics del Museu del Càntir.
Family activity: “Paint a giant càntir”.

Edition of the poster of the 75 càntirs (1951 to 2025)
On the occasion of the 75th Festa del Càntir, the Museum is publishing a poster with the 75 models of càntirs produced to date. It is an element that helps to provide a global vision of what these 75 editions of our most popular festival have been, while also helping càntir collectors to have a summary of the Argentona collection.
The poster was designed by Cristina Casabella, and a print run of 1,500 copies has been made, which will be distributed free of charge from the Museu del Càntir.
Exhibition: 50 Years of the Museu del Càntir and 75th Festa del Càntir
Opening: October 2025
An exhibition to be presented in the thematic exhibition hall (first floor of the museum) that will reflect what these 50 years of the Museu del Càntir have been: collections, activities, exhibitions, publications, visitors... and its future projection (new activities and services, future expansions, etc.), as well as the 75 editions of the Festa del Càntir held to date. Exhibition date to be confirmed.
Designation of the Festa del Càntir of Argentona as a “Traditional Festival of National Interest” by the Generalitat de Catalunya
The Festa del Càntir of Argentona has sufficient historical and cultural significance to be recognized as a Traditional Festival of National Interest by the Generalitat de Catalunya. A complete information dossier is being prepared to follow the procedure provided for in the current regulations. This has been done with the collaboration of the Centre d’Estudis Argentonins and, specifically, the historian Maria Josep Castillo for the drafting of the historical dossier.
Presentation of the Strategic Plan for the Museu del Càntir
October – November 2025
In 2022, the company Stoa, commissioned by the Ajuntament d’Argentona, drafted a Strategic Plan thinking about the museum's medium and long-term future, forecasting its organizational needs, content, audiences, services, and necessary spaces to face the future of the institution with confidence.
