Andreu Teteji shows his latest pictorial and musical work at the Museu del Càntir de Argentona

Teteji is a multifaceted creator, plastic artist and musician at the same time, and during the months of April and May he will delight us with his artistic and musical creations.

Orígenes is born from an accident, from a stain, from letting matter do so that it creates by itself, cracks and fragments.

Oils, turpentine, bitumen, solvents, water, the same “gesso” as a primer for the wood, all the materials follow their natural course and dance among themselves. It is here when the artist fully intervenes, cutting, filling, framing and creating forms. From abstraction to figuration.

This series is inspired by a trip that the artist made to Africa at an emotionally turbulent moment. Seeing those animals in the wild, the Masai tribes living in huts with no electricity and no luxuries, made him think about the essence of life.

With this exhibition, Andreu Teteji intends to emphasize the importance of listening to ourselves, of stopping for a moment and realizing who we are, where we come from, our origins, that we are all part of a whole, that we must maintain and care before we be too late.

As a parallel activity to this exhibition and on the occasion of the Night of the Museums, on Saturday, May 13 at 10:00 p.m., Andreu Teteji, together with Albert Guanyabens, both members of the musical group MATRIU, will offer us a concert in the hall of museum exhibits.

“Mai hem d’oblidar qui som i d’on venim, la vida fa moltes voltes i sempre hi ha la possibilitat de retornar a les nostres arrels”.
